Wagga sale 12 Sep 2022: Prices lift in smaller yarding

Prices lifted at Wagga Wagga in a much smaller yarding of 1530.

Heavy rain across the supply area contributed greatly to the reduction in numbers.

Quality was fair, to very good for some of the trade yearlings, with prices arguably dearer than the previous sale.

Restocking orders were from southern NSW along with strong local competition.

Undoubtably there was strong indications from restockers paying up to 665c for heifers weighing 200-280kg with the bulk averaging $1521 per head. The steers portion jumped 23c to average $1803.
