Numbers rose to 2,211 at the Roma Store Sale despite last week’s widespread rainfall. The mixed quality yarding was drawn from a wide supply area and steers again accounted for two thirds of the yarding. A good buying panel was present and operating. Competition remained firm with buyers competing strongly on frame over condition for steers, with price fluctuations reflective of quality variations.
Steers varied with light weight steers down by 1c to 61c/kg. However medium weight steers under 330kg to restockers rose by 53c, while heavy weight feeders improved…
