The cattle had been purchased by participating Santa Gertrudis studs, Bull Creek, Forest Park, Drensmaine, Strathmore, Swan Hill, Bendalla and Talleyrand at a corresponding sale at Blackall in June and fed on oats by John Rogers at Hatcham Downs, Taroom free of charge.
