Dalby sale 1 Mar 2023: Prices ease in larger yarding

Cattle were drawn from a large area with 519 from far Western Queensland, 634 from New South Wales and 133 head from South Australia.

Export buyer attendance was not as good as the previous week, however the regular feed and trade operators were active.

Prices could not maintain the levels of the previous sale. Young cattle generally lost 5c to 10c and up to 20c to 30c/kg on poor quality lines. Heavy grown steers and bullocks averaged 7c to 10c/kg cheaper. Despite a lift in the quality of the cows prices…
