Roma store sale 4 April: Medium feeder steers average 368c

The Easter break saw numbers drop to 1800 at Roma yesterday with mostly local cattle penned of a mixed quality.

All the usual feeder buyers were present and active however there was a noticeable absence of western orders for lightweight yearlings. Prime bullocks sold to a higher trend while cows to the processor held firm.

Lightweight restocker steers eased this week mainly due to quality, selling to 450.2c to average 431c, while steers 280 to 330kg sold to 452.2c to average 422c/kg.
