NCBA criticizes plan to allow Paraguayan beef imports

The United States is moving forward with plans to allow fresh beef imports from Paraguay despite objections from the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. On Thursday, USDA and the Plant Health Inspection Service announced they were publishing a final rule allowing imports to begin. The rule will go into effect next month, 30 days after being published in the Federal Register.
