AN UNSTABLE south-westerly air stream over the past week resulted in persistent rainfall across much of Tasmania and southern Victoria extending into the New South Wales Southern Tablelands.
Weekly totals of up to 50 mm were recorded in these areas, increasing to up to 100 mm for West Gippsland and up to 150 mm for western Tasmania.
