ATSB urges R22 and R44 operators to report engine cylinder defects

 

The Air Transport Safety Bureau is urging operators, maintainers and pilots of Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters to submit Lycoming Cylinder Durability Investigation Group defect report forms to help improve the understanding of ongoing engine cylinder failures in the aircraft.

Robinson helicopters are widely used for mustering and other aerial work across the extensive cattle industry.
