Business owner highlights grim worker shortage reality in Queensland

A Queensland business owner has spoken out about the grim reality of the state’s worker shortage, with a new report revealing the situation is getting worse.

Soon to be Cakes N Shit co-owner Stacey Ellis told NCA NewsWire her small cafe and cake business in Brisbane has been looking for staff for over a month.

“Whenever I put out an ad for a worker, offering significant hours and benefits, we get a very minimal response,” she said.
