GLOBAL burger giant McDonald’s says it is no longer sourcing Australian beef linked to deforestation in line with its goal to eliminate deforestation from its supply chains by 2020.
The company, which is Australia’s largest single beef customer, set the target in 2017 highlighting fibre, coffee, palm oil, soy and beef as the main commodities at risk of being linked to deforestation. It specifically mentioned the Queensland industry.
