NVLX Wodonga 2 May 2023: Cow prices vary with selective buying

Selling action at Wodonga.

Numbers lifted substantially with half the offering cows in all weights and grades.

All of the usual export and domestic buyers were at the sale and processors were extremely selective on what types they would bid on.

This caused big price variations, particularly in the cow market.

The reduced supply of vealers sold to mixed trends.

The pick of the vealers made from 385 to 445c/kg. Bidding was strongest for grain assisted yearlings however prices were back on last week’s grain assisted stock.
