Cattle were mostly drawn from the usual supply area, with numbers from Quilpie, McKinlay and Mt Isa included in a good quality yarding. Steers accounted for over half of the yarding. A large buying panel was present and operating. The market lifted, with strong competition as buyers continued to seek frame over condition on steers. Overall the yarding experienced mostly good gains with light weight steers up by 90c, medium weight steers to feed improved by 47c to 131c and heavy feeders up by 27c/kg.
