RECENT rainfall has injected sorely needed relief into beef and sheep meat markets across Australia, underpinned by continued strong export figures (see today’s export figures).
While the mutton indicator has seen its biggest week-on-week rise of 67c this week, clear trends have been hard to gauge in the cattle market, with this King’s Birthday public holiday on Monday stopping sales at the major centres of Dubbo, Tamworth and Wagga Wagga.
