Wagga sale 4 March 2024: Breakdown slows sale

Following a significant breakdown earlier today, only a portion of the expected 5300 cattle have been successfully sold.

Despite the challenges, all the usual buying groups were present at the market, along with additional buyers from Queensland.

Early on, agents faced difficulties as they struggled to maintain a continuous flow of cattle over the scales.

Queensland feedlots showed significant interest in steers weighing between 400 to 500kg, resulting in an uptick of 19c for well-bred types.
