Weekly rainfall update + rain outlook 10 August 2022

A SERIES of cold fronts and low pressure troughs swept across southern and south-eastern Australia during the week bringing thunderstorms, showers and damaging winds.

Weekly rainfall totals above 100 mm were recorded in elevated areas in north-east Victoria, on the western slopes of ranges in south-east New South Wales, and in north-west Tasmania.

The highest weekly total at a Bureau gauge of 217.6 mm was recorded at Perisher Valley AWS in New South Wales.
