A strong cold front crossed south-eastern Australia from the 5th to 7th, bringing snow, hail and graupel to elevated areas.
Weekly rainfall totals of 50 to 100 mm were recorded in far east Gippsland (VIC), and 25 to 50 mm in western TAS and south of the Dividing Range in VIC and southern NSW.
Weekly rainfall totals of 25 to 100 mm were recorded locally from storms along the QLD tropical coast, the northern tip of Cape York Peninsula and far east Arnhem Land (NT).
