On the 8 and 9 December, a cold front moved across south-eastern Australia and a low pressure system developed over eastern South Australia, bringing widespread rainfall to large parts of South Australia, Victoria, and south-eastern New South Wales.
There were isolated showers and thunderstorms in the tropics during the week.
