A low pressure system on the east coast near Moreton Bay impacted the Queensland and New South Wales coasts earlier in the week bringing widespread daily rainfall totals of 50-100 mm.
Cold fronts moving across the south-eastern parts of the continent brought showers for parts of eastern and south-eastern Australia.
