A weak cold front over south-west Western Australia. and onshore flow for northeast Queensland and western Tasmania brought moderate rainfall to these areas.
A strong cold front passed over southern Australia in the middle of the week then weakened and moved offshore into the Tasman Sea Friday afternoon. It brought severe thunderstorms with intense localised rainfall and snow to low levels for parts of the south-east.
